The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed the landscape of higher education by introducing innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and academic interaction. E-learning has emerged as an important educational model that provides flexible, accessible, and technology-driven learning opportunities for students across the world. The adoption of e-learning platforms in universities depends not only on the availability of technological infrastructure but also on students’ acceptance of technology and their level of engagement with digital learning environments. This research explores the relationship between technology acceptance, student engagement, and successful e-learning adoption in higher education institutions. The study highlights the importance of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, digital skills, learning motivation, and interactive online activities in shaping students’ attitudes toward e-learning systems. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) provides a theoretical foundation for understanding how students evaluate and adopt digital learning tools based on their expectations and experiences. Furthermore, student engagement plays a significant role in determining learning outcomes, satisfaction, academic performance, and continuous participation in online educational environments. The article discusses major challenges including digital inequality, limited technological skills, internet accessibility issues, and institutional readiness. It also emphasizes strategies for improving e-learning adoption through effective instructional design, faculty training, learner support services, and technology-enhanced educational policies. The findings suggest that successful e-learning implementation requires a balanced approach combining technological innovation with student-centered learning practices.
